Juan Mata would readily welcome Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Old Trafford, and feels the PSG man would be an excellent signing for his club.
The Swede’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain is set to expire at the end of the season, and a host of clubs, including Manchester United, are reportedly interested in his services.
The Spanish international has insisted that he would be happy to see the striker join the Red Devils.
“I don’t know what he’s going to do,” Mata told Sky Sports.
“I don’t whether he’s finishing his contract with PSG at the end of the season and if he’s going to stay there or not.
“Maybe he tries a new chapter in his long career. He was in so many countries and so many leagues and he’s won trophies everywhere. That speaks about his qualities as a player.
“He’s a very good player and I like to play with very good players. I don’t decide that, he decides that and the club decides.
“But obviously I think every player would be happy to play with him.”
There is hardly any other player that provides as much entertainment – both on and off the pitch – as the Swedish striker, and he’ll surely make the Premier League more interesting to watch if he decides to move to England this summer.
