Super-Agent Jorge Mendes was spotted in Manchester on Tuesday along with Valencia’s majority owner Peter Lim.
The duo was spotted at Hotel Football, which is owned by Manchester United’s famous ‘Class of 92’ and is located close to Old Trafford. Their chosen destination may have more to do with Lim’s friendship with the United legends than some hidden link with the Manchester club.
However, Valencia sources Superdeporte and Plaza Deportiva believe that the trip may have been related to Manchester City’s current boss Manuel Pellegrini’s future, with Valencia being one of the best options for Pellegrini after his reign at City ends.
Fuel to the fire was added due to the duo’s visit coinciding perfectly with Manchester City’s Champions League semi-final face-off against Real Madrid at the Etihad Stadium.
And if reports are to be believed, Pellegrini is the man Valencia want to lead them, and the Chilean is keen to take over the job.
Be that as it may, the fact that Mendes also has Jose Mourinho for a client has added further sparks to speculation linking the Special One with the managerial position at the Theatre of Dreams.
