Arsenal star man Jack Wilshere has had his say on Manchester United’s new mega signing Paul Pogba.
Paul Pogba completed his big-money return to Manchester United earlier this week, after a month full of non-stop speculation. The 23-year-old has signed a five-year contract with his youth club, with the option to extend for a further year.
As the France international revealed upon being officially unveiled as a Red Devil, new United boss Jose Mourinho was one of the primary reasons behind his decision to return to the Old Trafford club, as he believes the Special One will help him achieve his dream of becoming the best player in the world.
Jose, too, rates his new star signing highly, and described him by stating: “He’s a very young player, an unbelievable midfield player with such physicality but, at the same time, such agility, co-ordination, skill. He has everything.”
But it isn’t just the Portuguese tactician who had nice words to say about the Frenchman. In a recent interview with Sky Sports, Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere also expressed his opinions on Paul Pogba.
“I know him quite well,” Wilshere revealed. “I played against him a few times in the youth team at Manchester United and you could always tell back then he had something special.
“It was a bit of a surprise when he left but he has obviously made a great name and career for himself. He is a special talent and the Premier League is a better place now he is in it.”
However, along with Pogba, Wilshere himself will be raring to go and leave his mark in the Premier League this season, following his return from a long-term injury.
Speaking of his targets for the upcoming campaign, the 24-year-old said: “The target for me this year is to play as many games as possible. I don’t want to be setting any ridiculous targets. The main one for me is to play as many games as I can until Christmas, then re-assess at Christmas.”
