Andreas Pereira has revealed how Swede superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic shocked his new teammates upon joining Manchester United.
Following tremendous speculation about his future, Zlatan Ibrahimovic ended up reuniting with his former boss Jose Mourinho at the Old Trafford club for free, on July 1, 2016.
And as soon as he joined the Red Devils, he shocked his new teammates by bringing his own personal physiotherapist with him, according to Andreas Pereira.
Pereira revealed: “When he arrived, everyone could see that he was a real professional. Just by his physical appearance, you can tell he is professional as hell. He just wants to win—he only thinks about football.
“He brought his own physiotherapist with him, to treat him at the club. Everyone was left open-mouthed by that.”
The 34-year-old has hardly needed any time to settle in English football, and he already looks at home at his new club. He has managed to score 4 goals in 4 competitive matches for Manchester United so far – one of them helping United win their first silverware of the season: The FA Community Shield.
Andreas Pereira, on the other hand, has been sent out on a season-long loan to La Liga outfit Granada. However, the Brazilian is confident about his future at Manchester United, after being promised by Mourinho that he will be given first team opportunities next season.
The 20-year-old stated: “Mourinho told me that he likes my style of play a lot and that he liked what I did in preseason. He wants to see how I play in Spain and then wants me to go back and play for him next season.”
