Jose Mourinho has already identified Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann as his main target for the next summer window, according to Manchester Evening News.
As per MEN’s report, the Portuguese tactician has already begun preparations to bring Griezmann to the Old Trafford club.
Manchester United have been linked with the Frenchman for quite a while, but the speculation came to an end when Griezmann signed a new five-year contract with the La Liga giants in June.
However, when Griezmann was asked about his future at Vicente Calderón, he replied stating that he would stay put at the club as long as manager Diego Simeone remained in-charge.

He was quoted as saying: “The only doubt would be if Simeone leaves for PSG or wherever. I called him before extending my contract and he confirmed to me that he was staying. I can learn a lot from him.”
But if recent reports are to be believed, Diego Simeone is indeed, set to leave the Spanish outfit soon, with Inter Milan being his next destination. And if it does happen, not much could stop the Red Devils from securing Griezmann’s signature.
Mourinho still has a few tricks up his sleeve, however, in case Antoine needs more convincing to move to Manchester. The Special One is planning to make full use of Griezmann’s fellow French teammates Anthony Martial, Morgan Schneiderlin, and his best mate Paul Pogba to persuade the Atletico star to choose United above other potential suitors.
In fact, when Pogba completed his world record return to Manchester United, Griezmann even tweeted about it on his official twitter handle.
#Pogback !!!!!!! 😎💥
