Arch-enemies Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger faced off each other yet again, as Manchester United hosted Arsenal at Old Trafford for a crunch Premier League tie.
The game ended 1-1 thanks to goals from Juan Mata and Olivier Giroud for their respective sides, despite the Red Devils dominating the match for a majority of the 90 minutes.
Here’s how Mourinho’s men fared in the game:
DAVID DE GEA: 6
Only faced one shot on target, which he failed to keep out.
ANTONIO VALENCIA: 8
Was a huge offensive threat from the right, and did his defensive duties well.
PHIL JONES: 6.5
Partnered Rojo solidly at the back, but couldn’t prevent Giroud from netting Chamberlain’s deadly cross.
MARCOS ROJO: 7
Successfully dealt with Arsenal attack for most of the game. Could’ve put the game to rest by scoring from a Daley Blind cross, but headed the ball well wide.
MATTEO DARMIAN: 6
Got booked in the first half, but did the job at left-back.
MICHAEL CARRICK: 7
Brought stability to United’s midfield whilst providing good cover to Reds’ makeshift back four.
ANDER HERRERA: 8
Another impressive display from the Spaniard. Remained very active throughout, and provided the assist for Mata’s goal.
PAUL POGBA: 7
Dominated the middle of the park alongside his fellow midfield partners. Passed the ball well, and created chances.
JUAN MATA: 8
Tested Petr Cech in the first half, and managed to score past him in the second. Another top performance in a crucial game by the playmaker. Man of the match.
ANTHONY MARTIAL: 5.5
Failed to take full advantage of Arsenal’s weakened left-back spot, but did attempt some decent shots on target.
MARCUS RASHFORD: 6
Was a threat throughout, and tormented the Arsenal defence with his pace. Couldn’t stop Chamberlain from easing past him and providing the assist.
WAYNE ROONEY: 6
Created chances after coming on for Martial.
DALEY BLIND: 5.5
Filled in capably for Darmian at LB. Whipped in a decent cross, but not much involved otherwise.
MORGAN SCHNEIDERLIN: N/A
