Antoine Griezmann has sparked up enormous speculation by praising Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino on twitter.
The Atletico Madrid ace has been linked with a move away from the Spanish capital this summer, and Premier League giants Manchester United are believed to be the frontrunners in the race for his signature.
In fact, as per latest reports, Griezmann’s representatives seem to have ‘verbally agreed’ a deal with the United officials over a summer transfer, and details such as the Frenchman’s wages and his prospective shirt number have already been discussed.
Furthermore, with Antoine’s best bud and international teammate Paul Pogba playing at the Old Trafford club, and with Griezmann being a Manchester United fan himself, the deal looks imminent.
However, the 25-year-old has given United fans a reason to worry, after praising Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino on twitter.
Griezmann posted this tweet on Saturday, after watching Firmino score a brace and perform impressively in what ended up being a shock 2-3 defeat for Liverpool at the hands of Swansea.
This post had sparked up transfer speculation on social media, with many people now dubbing Griezmann as a Liverpool fan, and some faithful Reds’ supporters wanting Jurgen Klopp to make a move for the France international as soon as possible.

However, some United fans still believe – or hope, at least – that Mourinho will get his prime transfer target at the end of this season, no matter what he posts on social media.

Meanwhile, Antoine’s brother, Theo, posted an interesting reply to the tweet, which clearly indicates there is more to the Griezmann-to-United rumours than public knowledge.
