Barcelona players have expressed their ecstasy after making a historic comeback, by overturning a first leg 4-0 deficit to go on and win the tie 6-5 on aggregate.
The Catalan giants did the unthinkable on Wednesday night, as they scored 6 goals past Paris Saint-Germain to dramatically win the tie 6-5 on aggregate and progress through to the quarter finals of the UEFA Champions League.
Neymar, possibly the man of the match with his two goals and an assist, spoke about the game in his post-match interview, stating: “It’s the best game I have played in my life. For the history, for the goals, for the level of the team. I’m in a good moment of form, a really good moment. I am really happy.”
Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic also had his say after his side’s monumental victory, by claiming: “No, I cannot believe it. It was really impossible. [Now] 15-20 minutes after the game, it is crazy and unbelievable.
“Thank you to the team, to the people around the club and the fans. It was a really special day and it is hard to say something. The first game in Paris was hard for us, a lot of people spoke hard with our team but the reaction was special. It is history. We want to keep going on.
“We had to believe [because] 4-0 was hard, but it is football. We saw it in the Super Bowl, what is possible in sport. Today was crazy. This is Barcelona, the best team in the world and we want to continue our dream in the Champions League.”
The Barcelona stars also took to social media to celebrate their victory, and here’s what they posted on their official accounts:
