Manchester United might not have their Swedish talisman at the club to help them out next season.
Of the millions that were spent on the squad by Jose Mourinho in the summer, the free transfer of Zlatan Ibrahimovic has by far been their best addition to the squad.
The 35-year old striker has notched up 26 goals already in all competitions for the Red Devils and has helped them to the League Cup not too long ago.
He is yet again a free agent at the end of the season and though Mourinho is desperate to sign him for another year, Lalas now believes that MLS outfit LA Galaxy will be able to land the Swede this summer.
Speaking to BBC Radio Five Live, Lalas, who left the Galaxy in 2014, said: ‘There have been conversations and, I think, a relationship for some time regarding this possible move.
‘The Galaxy are Major League Soccer’s ‘super club’. They do big, bold things. They have sexy signings, that’s what they have built themselves as, that’s what they sell themselves as, and this type of signing would fall right into play with that.’
The Manchester United man has won the league in Spain, France and Italy but does not look like conquering the Premier League, this season atleast but Lalas believes that he has proven himself already in the country and that it might be time for him to move on.
He went on to suggest that the LA Galaxy can not only offer him a different challenge but that the monetary benefits that come with it could also attract the striker.
‘The pitch to Zlatan Ibrahimovic is not just that you get to come to Major League Soccer and they will pay you a lot of money,’ added Lalas.
Daily Mail also adds that La Galaxy are ready to make Zlatan the highest paid player in the history of the domestic competition in the United States but it is to be seen if Zlatan is ready to quit the Old Trafford outfit.
Do you think the MLS club can land the Swede this summer?
