Tottenham Hotspur have set an extravagant price tag on their left-back Danny Rose in order to obstruct both Manchester United’s and Manchester City’s hope of signing him.

The 26-year-old English international has been in sensational form this season and this has seen him earning interest of some of the best clubs, but Tottenham will do anything in their power to keep him at the club.

However, if the recent reports are to be believed, Manchester City are looking for a possibility to sign Danny Rose and should the negotiations happen, Pochettino is expected to make a move for Manchester United’s Luke Shaw – who is certainly not enduring best of a time at Old Trafford.

But Pochettino, on his part, is building a great core and Rose is certainly a powerhouse in it, hence, to snub off the interest, Daily Mirror has reported that the Lilly-Whites have slapped a £50 million price tag on his head.

Rose, who has two goals and two assists to his name so far, signed a new five-year deal with the club back in September.

However, nothing is certain in the sport and should the unthinkable happen, Luke Shaw will be Pochettino’s number one choice to replace Rose.

Shaw is no stranger to Pochettino as the duo worked together during their stint at Southampton and it is fair to say that Shaw came into limelight because of the perfect management of the Argentine.

Shaw, on his part, has been in the midst of heavy criticism as Jose Mourinho has time and again questioned his commitment on the field. Hence, it will now be interesting to see how this topsy-turvy speculation ends up.
