It seems like the rumours suggesting the exit of Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal will never dry up.
He, unarguably, will be one of the hottest properties in summer and a numerous clubs are vying to acquire his signature.
From Premier League, the most notable outfits are Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City, and regarding the same, a Chilean daily Cooperativa has reported that he will be in Manchester next season, but the big question is, where?
The source has mentioned that Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City have edged past all the other contenders and are in a pole position to sign him. Furthermore, they have also suggested that the Citizens are ready to offer Arsenal a whopping £50 million for his signature and should they get fortunate enough, Alexis will be earning more than £200,000 a week at the Etihad Stadium.
Sanchez, who will have just one year on his current Arsenal deal this summer, hasn’t said much about extending his current deal, but he did mention that he is looking forward to finishing his contract with Arsenal.
“I am happy in London and hope to finish my contract there,” he said.
“I’d like to stay in the city but with a team that is winning things, that has a winning mentality.
“I’m 28 years old, I still have a lot of years ahead of me. I am a player who looks after himself.”
With all being said and done, it will now be interesting to see where this Chilean sensation ends up being.
