Manchester United In Advanced Talks With Monaco’s Bernardo Silva

France Football has reported that Bernardo Silva is in serious talks with Manchester United to get a deal done before summer.

The golden crop of current Monaco side is in huge demand from clubs all over Europe. Players like Kylian Mbappe, Bernardo Silva,  Thomas Lemar, Fabinho, and Tiemoue Bakayoko have attracted interest from the top clubs around the world.

Jose Mourinho, though, has turned to his countryman Bernardo Silva to add some invention and vision to the midfield of Manchester United. The Portuguese attacking midfielder in one of the key players of the free scoring Monaco side – he has already scored 9 goals and created 9 goals for the season.

According to France Football, a €50 million deal is being worked upon to finalize the transfer.

Bernardo Silva is one of the best emerging creative midfielders in the world, and there is no shortage of clubs interested in signing him.

However, Jose Mourinho has an edge over others because of the Portuguese connection. Mourinho and Bernardo Silva are also represented by the same agent, i.e. Jorge Mendes, which is another big plus for the Manchester United boss in his pursuit of signing Silva.

Should a deal materialize, it would be interesting to see the position Mourinho utilizes Bernardo Silva in, as the youngster is a super versatile attacker who can play as an attacking midfielder, a central midfielder, and even an inside forward operating on the right.
