Manchester United’s top transfer target Serge Aurier prefers a move to Old Trafford over Barcelona.
Jose Mourinho will be a busy man this summer, as he is looking to improve on almost every position in the squad. He will reportedly try to get a couple of top-class full-backs to England this summer to solve the problems at the back, and has been linked to some superb names recently.
And one name that is inching closer to a move to Old Trafford is PSG star Serge Aurier.
One of the most controversial stars in Europe, Aurier was suspended by the Ligue 1 club earlier in the season, and is currently in the process of appealing for a two-month jail sentence for elbowing a police officer in Paris.
He is not exactly a role model for players, but Aurier is a technically gifted player who can take Manchester United to their previous best.
He is also wanted by Barcelona as a long-term replacement for Dani Alves at the Camp Nou, but United reportedly lead the race for his signature.
According to reports from French outlet Sport Mania, Aurier prefers a move to Manchester than to Catalunya.
Having made 29 appearances this season for the French outfit in all competitions, Aurier has been a crucial part of the club, but he has stalled on a new contract and is sure to leave the club at the end of the season.
He is a strong, marauding full-back who is perfect for the Premier League, and could replace Antonio Valencia in the first team at United next season. However, he will bring some controversies with him, but with Mourinho in charge, Aurier may finally find a home at Old Trafford.
