Manchester United are now taking big steps towards landing French superstar Antoine Griezmann this summer.
The Red Devils are in desperate need for some attacking quality, and will be looking at some of the biggest names in Europe. While the likes of Andrea Belotti and Romelu Lukaku are constantly linked with a move to Old Trafford, one player who is high on the wish list for Jose Mourinho is Atletico Madrid superstar Antoine Griezmann.
The France international is one of the most prolific goal scorers at the moment, and is currently settled at the Vicente Calderon. However, the 3-0 loss to Real Madrid in the semi-final of the Champions League recently may have shifted his mood.
According to reports today, Jose Mourinho has now personally spoken to the player, and has convinced him to the move to Manchester this summer.
Zinedine Zidane is one of the many managers who wants Griezmann in their squad for next season, but the report claims that Manchester United have taken a big step forward in securing his services.
It does not get Griezmann any close to Old Trafford, but surely, the 26-year old is not too far away from the move either.
