The Ligue 1 giants are looking to strengthen their squad, after a disappointing season under Unai Emery. The Parisian club will finish second in the league, ending a four-year consecutive title winning streak. They also bowed out of the Champions League in the round of 16, despite winning the first leg against Barcelona 4-0.
This might mean Unai Emery will leave only after one season at the club, with Monaco’s Leonardo Jardim being touted to be the next boss.
As a part of the rebuilding process, PSG management are looking to bring in fresh faces, and Ivan Perisic is one of them. The club is looking to land the Croatian, who is being valued by Inter around £50 million, the Gazetta (via the Sun) reported.
Even if the French club makes an offer below the asking price, Inter will find it tough to hold on to the 28-year old, especially with the report claiming that PSG will also be offering superstar Angel di Maria, or defender Marquinhos as part of the deal.
However, with PSG’s player-plus-cash deal, the Ligue 1 giants may actually end up beating the Red Devils in this transfer pursuit.
