Spanish weekly sports magazine Don Balon has reported that Neymar repents his decision to join Barcelona over Real Madrid. Los Blancos have completely outshone Barca this season, as they are a point away from winning La Liga, and are already into the finals of the Champions League.
Neymar has been in scintillating form for Barcelona this season, as the forward has already claimed 19 goals and the same number of assists. However, the he seems to be a bit overawed with the supremacy shown by Real Madrid this season, and wishes he had been playing for the men in white instead of the Catalans.
Don Balon also reported that Real Madrid wanted to sign Neymar before he joined their arch-rivals. And even in the last few years, there have been pertinent talks of Real Madrid trying to sign the trickster from Barcelona, with Brazilian legend Roberto Carlos also urging Neymar to make the switch.
With these latest reports of Neymar regretting his Barcelona move, it can be said that the 25-year-old has sensed a power shift in Spain, with his club not as dominant as it used to be. It would be interesting to see if Neymar would entertain an offer from Real Madrid – if they make an offer- and risk the wrath of the fans.
