Manchester United are looking to bring back one the the top stars that was released by Louis van Gaal, as they prepare a massive bid to re-sign Paris Saint-Germain star Angel Di Maria, according to reports.
Jose Mourinho appears to be keen in re-signing the Argentine, as the Red Devils’ boss looks for attacking reinforcements ahead of their Champions League return next season.
According to The Sport Review, the Red Devils are ready to make a gigantic £48.3 million bid to bring the Argentine back to Old Trafford from France this summer, and are ready to battle with Inter Milan for his signature.
Di Maria, who broke the British transfer record in 2014 when he signed for Manchester United for £60 million from Real Madrid, was sold to PSG after just one year by the then club manager, Louis van Gaal.
United have also been linked with Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic and Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale as well, but it seems that Mourinho may make an even more surprising signing by bringing back the Argentina international.
Mourinho stated back in March that he would never have sold Di Maria had he been in charge at the time.
He stated: “I found a sad club here. Man Utd sold players that I would never sell, bought players that I would never buy. I would never sell Di Maria, Chicharito, Danny Welbeck. Never. No chance.”
