Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain have decided to leave three of their star players, including Serge Aurier, Hatem Ben Arfa and Grzegorz Krychowiak out of their pre-season tour squad, as per reports.
PSG are a part of the International Champions Cup (ICC), and would be playing Roma, Tottenham and Juventus in Detroit, Orlando and Miami respectively. However, it was highly noticeable that none of the three aforementioned players featured in the pre-flight photo as PSG flew to Miami on Saturday morning.
The trio face an uncertain future, and could be in line to leave the club this summer.
It was reported that PSG boss Unai Emery picked the club’s new signing, Dani Alves, over Serge Aurier for the competition, fueling rumours that the 24-year-old’s departure could be on the table. Alves will play in the right-back position for PSG in the Champions Cup, which was previously occupied by Aurier.
Along with the Ivory Coast defender, midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak, who started only seven Ligue 1 matches for the club last season, and former Nice winger Hatem Ben Arfa too, look set to leave Parc des Princes this summer.
Another significant absentee in Unai Emery’s squad was Julian Draxler. However, the 23-year-old star was on international duty with Germany at the Confederations Cup in Russia until the start of July, wherein he captained his side to victory, and thus, has been granted extra leave.
