A recent report from Brazil has taken over the footballing world by storm, as news outlet Esporte Interativo reported via Twitter that Barcelona superstar Neymar Jr. has agreed personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain.

The rumour erupted through Brazilian journalist Marcelo Bechler, who also works for ‘Lance!‘. He claimed the official announcement will be made in the coming weeks, and added that PSG have triggered Neymar’s incredible release clause of €222 million.

The talented frontman experienced a fruitful campaign last time around, scoring 20 goals and providing 19 assists across all competitions. The swift winger was one of the best players for the Catalan club going forward, and played a vital role in their 6-5 (aggregate) comeback against the French side.

Moreover, Sport, the Catalan newspaper, reported on Monday that the Brazilian winger is unhappy at the Nou Camp, and is considering his options. It also was claimed that a wide number of people in Neymar’s entourage believe that the winger will not be able to win the Ballon d’Or as along as he is playing alongside Lionel Messi.

However, Sport also mentioned Neymar may not leave the club just yet, but he seriously is considering his options. This was followed by Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reporting that the Ligue 1 giants are ready to pay the Barcelona forward’s release clause.

Ironically, Spanish radio station Cope updated on Neymar recently, reporting the former Santos man is happy with Barça, and has no intention of forcing a move. He further added that the player and his representatives are enraged after learning about the rumours.

Neymar is currently tied down to a contract with the La Liga giants till 2021, with a release clause worth €222m, and is widely expected to stay at Camp Nou. Though PSG are eyeing the forward, a world record breaking transfer is seemingly unlikely to happen right now.
