Chelsea are set to make a bid of £50 million just hours after playing Tottenham at Wembley this weekend.

Conte is desperate to improve his team, more so after the humiliation at the hands of Burnley in their opening fixture of the Premier League campaign. The Blues were beaten 3-2 at Stamford Bridge in a match that saw Cahill and Fabregas red carded.

The Italian tactician is, therefore, looking to further strengthen his squad, and according to latest reports, Chelsea have emerged as favorites to sign the want-away defender Danny Rose from Tottenham.

The player has opened the door for a transfer by giving an explosive interview, where he said that he is underpaid at Spurs, and wants to leave to win trophies. Manchester United were also linked with the full-back, but Chelsea are the ones believed to be leading the race to sign him.

As per the Sun, the Blues are preparing a first bid in the region of £50 million, which will be made just after the London derby at Wembley this weekend. Danny Rose won’t be featuring for Spurs because of his injury, but the player is getting closer to a return after being out for more than 7 months.

Meanwhile, Chelsea fans could be in for a pleasant surprise, as Eden Hazard might play a part in the upcoming fixture. The Belgian, who has been out injured for 2 months, will have a late fitness test to determine if he will be fit to make the squad for the crucial match.
