Arsenal and Manchester City have reached an agreement for the transfer of Alexis Sanchez. The Chilean superstar will be sold for £60 million, but Arsenal have asked City to wait while they sign a replacement. The Gunners have returned for their primary target Lemar to replace Sanchez, and they are confident that they can sign him.
Notably, Arsene Wenger had previously ruled out the signing of Lemar by saying that Monaco have closed the door on the player, but the recent reports are encouraging for the London-based club.
Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola is set to get his man with whom he had previously worked at Barcelona. Alexis Sanchez will be Arsenal’s second high profile outgoing player on the deadline day, after Oxlade-Chamberlain moved to Liverpool earlier.
Arsenal have been forced into some late business with the sale of two influential players. The club is looking to bring in Lemar, and possibly Draxler, to strengthen the team before transfer window closes tonight.
