PSG ran riot in their Champions League match against Bayern Munich, as the French side ran out deserved 3-0 winners. Dani Alves, Edinson Cavani, and Neymar were on target, and Kylian Mbappe too, shined for the home team.
However, along with the unexpected one-sided result, Neymar’s reaction to Cavani’s goal is also doing rounds in the news today. The duo has been grabbing several headlines lately, following their verbal spat in PSG’s recent Ligue 1 encounter against Lyon.
On Wednesday, Cavani managed to find the top right corner from the edge of the box against the Bavarians, to score the second goal for his team. As soon as the goal went in, though, instead of joining the Uruguayan in the goal celebration, Neymar decided to stay put and congratulate Mbappe, who provided the assist.
Notably, Neymar had shown great amount of excitement when Dani Alves had scored, but the same can’t be said for Cavani’s goal.
An Edinson Cavani cracker! 💥
That’s 59 goals in his last 60 games for PSG… 👏 pic.twitter.com/VCF8kzYiPm

I can't believe I'm watching this kind of thing but… Neymar doesn't immediately celebrate with Cavani, waits for Mbappe, then goes over.

Other than the incident, Neymar and Cavani tried their best to show that there was no divide between the two during the match. The two shook hands and talked to make things appear normal between them, but some tension was still there to be seen.
Meanwhile, PSG continue to grow into their lethal form, with Neymar, Mbappe and Cavani spearheading a fearsome attack. The French outsit made light work of a powerhouse like Bayern Munich, and issued a warning to all the European giants looking to win the Champions League.
