It would appear that Jose Mourinho’s earnest hunt for a highly rated winger has come to an end.
Multiple sources, including Canal+ and Gazzetta Dello Sport, have claimed that Paris Saint-Germain’s Lucas Moura has agreed to sign for Manchester United, with a definitive deal currently in the negotiations between the two clubs.
It is believed that a sum in the range of €25 million will be agreed by the two clubs.

The 25-year-old Brazilian functions primarily on the right wing, and has seen an unfortunate drop from the pecking order as of recent at PSG.
A big factor behind this has been the arrival of several attacking talents at the French club in the summer, the most notable of whom were the big money transfers of Neymar and Mbappe.
As of such, Lucas has only tasted 72 minutes in the Ligue 1 so far this season, and is desperate for a move away from the club, as indicated in his desire for a permanent switch to Old Trafford.
Manchester United will be looking to cash in, and initial reports suggested that Jose Mourinho wouldn’t be bargaining much, with the Parisians wishing for an amount in the range of €35 million.
But with a mere 2 years left on the wide-man’s contract and no definitive role in sight, PSG will go ahead with the lower amount and reap the benefits.
When the move goes through, it will be interesting to see how the existing hierarchy of players at United will be affected.
