Alexis Sanchez is a mere hours away from completing his transfer from Arsenal to Manchester United.

The Chilean has landed in Manchester to undergo his medical and complete other formalities.

If any doubt still remained regarding the validity of his intention, his latest action on Twitter appears to be a firm confirmation that the move is on.

The Chilean retweeted a reply defending his choice to switch clubs after an article condemned him as a ‘mercenary’.

The original Daily Mail write-up was bashed by Oliver Holt, who went on to say that it wasn’t as if Sanchez was joining Wycombe Wanderers.

It is clear that the 29-year-old won’t be accepting any nonsense being spewed about his choice, and as of such, his first words after penning down a Manchester United contract will be really interesting.

With that, the saga seems to have been completed. Henrikh Mkhitaryan will be the player departing Old Trafford for the Emirates, and further reports suggest that the entire deal will be a straight swap, with no financial incentives on offer from any side.

Sanchez, on the other hand, is all set to become the Premier League’s highest earning player, beating the wages pocketed by Paul Pogba, and is also being touted to wear the illustrious number 7 jersey.
