Seeing a talented player depart the club to probably never make a return again is obviously a rather sad thing to go through as a fan of the sport.

But when one leaves a club in the circumstances Henrikh Mhkitaryan left for North London, supporters would understandably be distraught.

And that is exactly what this particular United faithful felt, who wrote a heartfelt letter to the Armenian following his switch to Arsenal, which spoke, and spoke well, for the entire fan base.

Mkhitaryan was a dream signing for the Red Devils, who intercepted a deal from the Gunners which was almost accepted by Borussia Dortmund.

Following a significant debut season, the Armenian international had a near-perfect start to this campaign, becoming a fan-favourite along the way.

However, a sudden and unexpected fall in form caused Jose Mourinho to drop the ex-Dortmund superstar to the bench to never make a start again in a United shirt, which is likely the prominent reason that made some section of the United fanbase feel bitter over his departure.

Nevertheless, the Old Trafford faithful made sure their former star, who is expected to make his debut as a Gunner against Swansea City on Tuesday, knew how much they appreciated his services to their great club in a classy manner.
