United have apparently been told that they could be in with a chance to land Blaise Matuidi from Juventus in the summer, according to reports in Italy.
Mino Raiola, who is the midfielder’s agent, has enjoyed a really good relationship with United in recent times.
He has orchestrated the signings of Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Romelu Lukaku, and Sergio Romero, as well as the arrival and departure of Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
If reports are to be believed, Raiola is determined to stay involved in United’s transfer affairs for yet another window, and has now brought up the possibility of initiating a move that will see Matuidi move from the Old Lady to Old Trafford.

The Frenchman has been brilliant for Juventus since signing for them from Paris Saint-Germain last summer, and is already one of Massimiliano Allegri’s most trusted players.
His physical presence and intelligence on and off the ball make him such a vital asset to any manager, and Jose Mourinho could be keen to bring him in as an experienced, level head to partner Paul Pogba in midfield.
Michael Carrick has confirmed that he will be retiring at the end of the season, which means United will sorely lack an experienced head. Along with his experience, Matuidi would also be a perfect solution to the crisis Pogba is currently undergoing at Old Trafford.
The 30-year-old has played a number of games alongside Pogba with the French national team, and the pair have been brilliant when used together.
Matuidi would offer more defensive cover, which would allow Pogba to break forward more and focus on his attacking threat rather than having to track back all the time.
Mourinho has already confirmed that he would not be going after a striker in the summer, which could mean that all of Ed Woodward’s attention will be focused on making a deal for Matuidi happen if the interest from Jose is genuine.
