Emanating a wave of astonishment, Raphael Varane has labelled Romelu Lukaku as the strongest forward in the world.
Despite having faced multiple lethal forwards in La Liga as well as the Champions League, the Real defender saved the special appreciation for the Belgian international.
The Frenchman proclaims he has a hard time coping with players who exploit power rather than speed.
Furthermore, ascribing the Mancunian forward as ‘pure power’, the defender says that he has to alter his traditional approach with players like Lukaku.

The 24-year-old told Goal: “I feel more comfortable with fast players because I try to control the depth. For my qualities, it’s what I prefer.
“When they are stronger I try to pass in front, that I cannot play. Like Lukaku, for example. He is the strongest forward in the world. He is pure power. You have to play differently. I try to be more complete to annoy any striker.”
Furthermore, Jose Mourinho has been highly appreciative of the form the Belgian is in at the moment, having mentioned that other than the star striker and midfielder Nemanja Matic, his squad should grow up and learn to take responsibility.
The ex-Everton forward can exploit his potential to the fullest for now, without being bothered about his prospects at Old Trafford, with the gaffer being full of praise for him.
