Manchester United and Liverpool target Jorginho’s agent is reportedly in Manchester in order to explore the prospect of a possible move to the Premier League.

The Napoli superstar is in demand thanks to his exemplary performances, not only among his side’s ranks, but in the Serie A as well. The midfielder has been pivotal for the Italian side’s title challenge this season, and has recorded 2 goals and twice as many assists so far.

It didn’t take long for the Brazilian-born midfielder’s exploits to get noticed in England, as United and rivals Liverpool are believed to be keen on securing his services, and are favourites to get his signature.

Further, as per Tuttomercatoweb, the talented holding midfielder could be closer than expected to securing a move to Old Trafford, as his agent has travelled to Manchester to discuss the situation ahead of what looks to be a big money move.

The Red Devils have surprisingly been struggling with their midfield recently, despite the likes of Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic in their ranks. The pair’s mediocrity has started to surface, as a perfect midfield system seems to be something Jose Mourinho needs to work on.

Meanwhile, the Italian international’s consistency, energy, and work ethic could be something that can rejuvenate the Red Devils’ midfield, especially since Marouane Fellaini and Michael Carrick look set to depart at the end of the season.

On the other hand, Liverpool also need a much more reliable midfielder in their ranks, with their current midfield not as strong as their attack.

Either way, Jorginho seems to have set his sights on a transfer to an English club, and it wouldn’t be surprising if a move materialises in the near future.
