What United Fans Are Saying About Mourinho Following Pogba’s Masterclass For France
Jose Mourinho has been slammed by the fans after Paul Pogba inspired the French national team to a 3-1 victory over Russia on Tuesday night at the Krestovsky Stadium.
The duo has been under the microscope over the past couple of months, mainly due to their strained relationship, which started to develop after the Special One decided to ditch Pogba from his starting line-up.
The Frenchman has since seen his once cemented spot being given to youngster Scott McTominay, and has evidently played some poor football when on-field.
However, the 25-year-old stood out as one of the star performers for France, as he buried a brilliant free-kick in the 49th minute, and also provided an assist for Kylian Mbappe’s goal.

And to no one’s surprise, the football fraternity took it out on Twitter, as they heaped praise on Pogba, and also criticized Mourinho after the international friendly.
Paul Pogba vs. Russia
It wasn’t a perfect performance, but it’s clear that Pogba looks more like the Pogba we all know and love when he plays for France. Full of the confidence we rarely see in Manchester, Pogba had a lovely assist and scored a glorious free kick. pic.twitter.com/dm4XqnXbGo

I can not believe my club plays Paul Pogba as a defensive midfielder. It’s actually a disgusting crime against the sport of football. I feel sick.

Paul Pogba is world class. Play to his strengths and you will get the best out of him and the players around him. Jose has to build the team around Paul! #mufc

Mourinho didn’t even see the Pogba strike. Too busy getting himself to Hungary to assess McTominay’s discipline levels.

Pogba's goal and assist shouldn't be an opportunity to be negative and slate Mourinho. See it as a positive that Pogba could come back rejuvenated.
Positive breeds confidence. And that can come from the fans

Almost like Paul Pogba is a very talented midfielder.
Both a mixture of Mourinho holding him back and Pogba not applying himself, but he’s a phenomenal player.
