Arsenal’s clash against Stoke City was one of the most bipolar matches of the season – from 75 minutes without goal, to the match ending with the scoreline of 3-0 at full-time.
Further, it was also a rather eventful one, with two penalties being awarded to the hosts and a hattrick being sacrificed for the better good. This fixture had it all.
A brace from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and a late penalty, generously given up by the Gabonese and converted by Alexandre Lacazette, was enough to see the Gunners through the tie.
However, there was one more incident that seems to have impacted some Arsenal faithful as well as neutral fans – Hector Bellerin and Mesut Özil seem to have had a spat.
Around the last 10 minutes of the fixture, the Spaniard played a very silly ball towards Özil, who was clearly offside and didn’t want the ball played to him initially.
Bellerin then shamelessly proceeded to complain, but the German was quick to let him know whose fault it was, as he turned furiously to confront his teammate.
“You speak too much,” the playmaker seemed to have told the youngster. “Wait till inside.”

Though it seems there’s animosity between the Gunners at the surface, the Spanish international’s Tweet confirmed everything was just fine, as he acknowledged he was told off, as speculated.

A lesson learnt for the La Masia graduate – Don’t have a dispute with senior players, or they’ll actually ‘see you in the dressing room’.
