Isco has been provided with less game time this season, with plenty of players with high calibre available at Zinedine Zidane’s disposal. Accordingly, the talented midfielder was concerned, and had even made some disturbing comments the previous month.

Since then, the former Malaga man has made three starts out of four games, in which he has clearly regained the faith of the gaffer, displaying overwhelming performances and subsequently stunning the supporters in the process.

Nevertheless, the most striking aspect would have to be the free-kick he netted against his former side. Real Madrid were awarded a free-kick 25 yards out from goal. Much owing to the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale, Isco grabbed the opportunity.

Accordingly, the 25-year-old struck a brilliant curler, which sailed past the wall and post, hitting the corner of the net with ease. The free-kick was marvellous on its own, however, the skilful player’s action afterwards melted the hearts of football fanatics.

The Spaniard clearly refused to celebrate, as he apologised to the home fans for what he just did. Disregarding the fact that they’ve conceded a goal, the Malaga fans bestowed Isco with a great round of applause.

Moreover, he already had received a standing ovation from the hosts’ supporters¬†when his name was read over the public address system prior to kick-off.

The incident indubitably attracted numerous reactions on social media, primarily Twitter, with football fans giving the moment a great deal of recognition that it requires.
