Anthony Martial has dominated the headlines as of recent weeks, with reports emerging that the player has rejected a bumper five-year deal offered by United, and is unhappy to stay on at Old Trafford.

The arrival of Alexis Sanchez in the winter window ensured that the French starlet would lose his preferred left attacking spot without a doubt, and that has not gone down well.

Reports have emerged that both Juventus and Bayern Munich are eager to make him their top summer target, and they might be just the starting few in a list of interests that could very well encompass all European powerhouses soon.

However, as early as January itself, a club closer to home had already made an attempt, but Martial was denied the move.

The Gunners have been open pursuers for the forward from his days at Monaco itself, and have reportedly made attempts at luring him to the Emirates on several occasions in the past three years.

However, the source adds that United killed the initial deal, and instead chose Mkhitaryan to be the player that was shown the exit in order to secure the Chilean.

It is believed that Martial is unhappy with the fact that the transfer was not allowed, and that may be a contributing factor in him wanting out at the moment.

It is baffling to consider that United might still be eager to sell him, and not read into the high-profile interest as perhaps a second thought to keep the youngster of immense potential.

Juventus currently lead the race, with Bayern a relatively new interest in the 25-year-old. Regardless, any of the two destinations will suit him better than Old Trafford considering the situation at hand.
