Jose Mourinho is determined to sign Neymar in the summer, and is prepared to battle Real Madrid for his signature.

The Brazilian has been linked with a switch to the Santiago Bernabeu since the early stages of the season, despite having spent just one season with Paris Saint-Germain so far.

Even though it would pretty much be a stab in the back to his former club Barcelona as well as his good friend Lionel Messi, reports have claimed that the winger is eager to play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and co. at Real. However, there could be another twist to the tale.

Real aren’t desperate to sign Neymar, and that could work perfectly in favour of Mourinho’s club, which might face a winger crisis in the summer.

Mourinho is determined to get rid of the deadwood, and has also reportedly given up on certain players, and would be ready to let them leave.

Players such as Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford are stars Mourinho wants to keep, but does not see in his starting XI. They have let him down on multiple occasions, and he would be willing to let them leave if they feel undervalued or if they want more game time.

In that scenario, Neymar would be the perfect arrival, as he would be a reliable goalscorer and a more than able winger.

Spanish news outlet Diario Gol claims that Mourinho is interested in the potential of signing him, and the 26-year-old would be open to the move as well.
