A fellow teammate of Shakhtar Donetsk star Fred appears to have confirmed his move to Manchester.
Fred looked set to complete a winter switch to Manchester City back in the January transfer window, but it eventually failed to materialise.
Since the unsuccessful transfer to the Etihad, however, Manchester United seem to have joined the race for his services, and are currently believed to be the favourites to secure the midfielder’s services.
With both Mancunian clubs pursuing his signature, Fred looks set to part ways with Shakhtar Donetsk this summer. And if his departure was ever in doubt, it was all but confirmed by his fellow club teammate last night.

Shakhtar managed to beat Dinamo Kiev 2-0 away from home on Wednesday night, winning the Ukrainian Cup in the process. Following the victory, Fred start a live video on his Instagram account to display his team’s celebrations in the dressing room.
Shakhtar defender Darijo Srna, who missed the final through suspension due to doping issues, was also present in the dressing room, where he ended up dropping some big news during the live stream.
Srna was heard saying: “Let’s go Brazil. Champions, champions. Fred now is going to Manchester. Doesn’t know if City or United. Let’s know.”
However, Fred only replied with a laugh, and continued celebrating with the team without making any particular comments about the 36-year-old’s statement.
While this does not entirely confirm the Brazilian’s arrival in Manchester come summer, it does indicate that we might quite possibly see him in the Premier League next season. But whether he dons Red or Blue remains to be seen.
