Fiorentina have set a mammoth price tag on their in-demand talent Federico Chiesa, reports Gazzetta dello Sport.
The youngster excelled in what was an average season for the club. They finished 8th in the league, with only 16 wins and 9 draws helping them reach a tally of 57 points.
Historically, the Florentine outfit have been a selling club, with players like Stevan Jovetic having already switched to the Premier League in the past.
And now, the club has thrown a spanner in the works for all the English powerhouses chasing Chiesa’s signature. The 20-year-old is being fielded to potential suitors for a steep asking price of £62 million.

The winger appeared in 36 Serie A games this season, bagging 6 goals and 5 assists, with a pass completion rate of 77.8%. This was the youngster’s second season as a top-flight player. Only last season, he tallied 3 goals and 2 assists in 17 starts and 10 appearances off the bench.
But the £62 million price tag might be a little too much to pay for a player who is yet to make an appearance in a major international tournament.
Chiesa has racked up 5 appearances for the national team, but is by no means worth the quoted amount as of now.
While his dribbling skills should stand him in good stead in the Premier League, his tackling and aerial ability remain other concerns for any suitors wishing to secure his services in the near future.
