Reports of Real Madrid talisman Cristiano Ronaldo joining Juventus in the ongoing summer transfer window is already gaining a lot of interest.

There are talks that the Serie A club is weighing up a deal for Ronaldo, and could offer £88m for his services. Real are believed to be willing to cash in on the same, especially with Ronaldo being 33 years old.

Real are considerably eyeing other options like Neymar or Kylian Mbappe to bolster their squad, as they embark upon a new chapter under former Spain manager Julen Lopetegui.

And reports of Ronaldo’s potential move to the Italian side has got midfielder Blaise Matuidi interested.

The Frenchman himself moved to the Old Lady of Turin last season from Paris Saint-Germain, and he feels that if CR7 does end up joining the Italian giants, then it could serve as a major impetus for everyone concerned.

The senior midfielder is currently in Russia playing for France in the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2018.

He was quizzed on the possibility of playing with the Portuguese superstar at the Allianz Stadium next season, and Matuidi stated it would be great if something like this happens.

According to a report in Goal, Matuidi stated: “I’m not going to lie it would be just great. It would be great to have one of the best players in the world with Juventus in the same club that I am.”

Ronaldo hurt Juventus on two successive occasions in the Champions League in recent times, and no wonder he could give them the edge in winning the coveted trophy.

Despite being 33, Ronaldo is still a goal-scoring menace, and netted four in the World Cup in Russia. Juve will hope he could be their marquee signing this season.
