Paul Pogba is understood to have informed Manchester United, via his agent Mino Raiola, that he wants to leave and play once again for the Old Lady.

Now a world champion, Pogba wants to continue the progress he made in Russia and step out of Jose Mourinho’s tactical shadow at United, considered as debilitating by many, and return to Juventus.

According to Tuttosport, Juve could make a sensational move for their former talent this summer. But this move will materialize only if they offload one of their current midfielders.

Events at the World Cup served to improve the Frenchman’s understanding of his own game. This also showed him how different his style is from the kind of role he’s had to play for the Red Devils.

With Cristiano Ronaldo now situated in Turin, they are an even bigger draw for Pogba. The France international has never played with a true best in the world, thereby receiving additional motivation to head back to Juventus.

The fact that the Red Devils paid around €114 million for Pogba just two years ago complicates any departure.

Miralem Pjanic is said to be available for the ‘right price’ over the course of the summer, of course. Juve are supposedly interested in shipping him out to the prospective suitors, and could use the obtained fee to reclaim the United man.

Pogba scored 34 goals in 178 appearances through his 4 years in Turin. Juventus officials feel that he could thrive in the Serie A in his next stint. They do have a large sample space to rely on for such a guess, too.

Sami Khedira is another midfielder deemed surplus to requirements. Recouping a return on his transfer would go a long way to further reducing the financial hit of signing Pogba for Juve.
