Manchester United fans’ clamouring for new signings continues to grow more and more vocal, as the English transfer window draws to a close.

Premier League teams only have until August 9 to complete their deals, with managers agreeing to an earlier conclusion despite the rest of Europe having till the end of the month.

Manchester United are one of the clubs in need of making some serious moves in the next two weeks. They finished way off the pace for the Premier League title last season, and are in need of improvements in a number of areas.

Diogo Dalot and Fred are the only two major transfer arrivals so far. It’s been a frustrating window for the Red Devils, with deals for key targets failing to materialise.

Daley Blind, a player capable of deputising there, has already left the club. The likes of Eric Bailly and Marcos Rojo are way down the pecking order, and it seems like they could be sold to make way for an elite defender.

Barcelona‘s Yerry Mina has emerged as the latest player on their radar. He could be available for around €30m, after the Blaugrana have expressed a willingness to sell him for the right price.

Catalan-based publication Mundo Deportivo are reporting that Mourinho’s interest in the Colombian is ‘really high’. The defender last played with his national team at the World Cup this month, and was quite impressive.

He is below the likes of Gerard Pique and Samuel Umtiti in the pecking order at Barca. Therefore, the opportunity to start at a Champions League club could be enough of a draw for him to switch to the red half of Manchester.
