Following the conclusion of the first international break of the new season, the Premier League is all set to return this weekend – a sight of delight for club football fanatics around the globe.
This comeback will also be pleasantly welcomed by the Manchester United supporters, as their team can finally begin its road to recovery and start winning games, so as to vacate the 10th spot and climb up the league table.
The Red Devils will be visiting Watford this Saturday, and along with the fans, one United player who seems quite excited about the upcoming match-up is the club’s brand new summer signing, Diogo Dalot.
The youngster was brought in from FC Porto for a fee of £19 million, but is yet to feature for the senior team, as he has been sitting on the sidelines due to a knee injury.
The Portuguese defender did play his first game in the famous red jersey for the club’s under-23 team on August 31, and he impressed heavily through that performance against Stoke.
Now, the 19-year-old appears ready to make his senior debut for the Mancunian giants, as evident from his latest social media post.
Dalot uploaded a picture of himself on his official Twitter account, with the caption: “Have a good week everybody. Getting ready for Saturday.”
He also told the club’s official website that he is ready to feature whenever called upon, as he revealed: “The injury was not too bad but it required some patience and I needed that. Now I am here and I am ready to play whenever the coach thinks I am ready.”
The versatile wide-man could quite possibly be handed a cameo by Jose Mourinho this weekend, but it will be interesting to see just where the boss decides to field him – in his natural right-back position, or in the spot vacated by the injured Luke Shaw on the left?
