There might be Neymar and Mbappe, Salah and Mane, Suarez and Messi, and so on, but there is one duo from the past that when compared to, really stands out in terms of the quality shown and the achievements bagged.

Manchester United ruled England and also Europe for a great number of years, and while major credit does go to Sir Alex Ferguson and many of his players, a lot of it also goes the way of Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The two were a dream pair at Old Trafford, and shared a chemistry like no other in the sport.

Brilliant at counter-attacking, feeding each other with goals, and bringing the best out of one another was what made them simply unstoppable.
