A second-half Lucas Moura hat-trick took Tottenham Hotspur to the Champions League final for the first time in their history.

Goals from Matthijs de Ligt and Hakim Ziyech appeared to have sent Ajax through, but Lucas Moura’s two goals in the space of four minutes early in the second-half and the winner in the 95th minute sealed Spurs’ progession to the final, where they will face English rivals Liverpool.

Fans on social media are praising Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino, who despite not signing a single player in the past two transfer windows has managed to reach the Champions League final and finish in the Premier League top 4.

The Argentine was under consideration for the permanent manager’s role at United prior to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s appointment, and following this seasons’ heroics, he’s likely to attract interest from more European giants.
