Manchester United’s transfer endeavors have been under question for quite a while now. The Red Devils seem incapable of engineering a complete squad overhaul.

While many will argue that a lite version of the same was achieved this summer, the flaws persistent at Old Trafford indicate that this isn’t entirely true. To this, one ought to add that despite making sales in certain areas, the numerical and critical quality in place isn’t always the finest.

However, the side could lose more players yet, and not all of them may be easy faces to bid farewell to.

According to Gazetta Della Sport (via the Sun), Manchester United may lose up to three of their first-team players to Juventus next summer.

The Italian giants are allegedly looking to make a swoop for multiple players presently plying their trade for the Red Devils whose contract will expire in the summer to follow.

Amongst these are the frankly predictable names of David De Gea, Eric Bailly, and Nemanja Matic. The more critical members of United’s fanbase have been demanding the exit of the latter two for quite a while now, accusing them to be deadwood and surplus to requirements.

Nemanja Matic represents the era of Jose Mourinho quite starkly and while he is a capable holding midfielder, his skills and age don’t necessarily match the kind of ethos Solskjaer is looking to promote at Old Trafford.

Similarly, while Eric Bailly has shown tremendous skill and quality during his time with the club, his tendency to get injured repeatedly has frustrated the supporters. Many may argue that younger defenders ought to get the cut in his place.

De Gea’s form has been a bittersweet tale for supporters of the club. Hailed to be the world’s finest shotstopper as recent as last season, the Spaniard seems to have lost his charm.

Will the Old Lady succeed in making even more spectacular free signings in this trio?
