The Old Trafford outfit has been busy all year, offering contracts to youngsters who have been impressive in the club’s run to the Premier League North title. And 17-year old James Garner is the latest name to join the list.

After a summer break, Garner was back at Old Trafford to sign his contract in the boardroom, and seemed ecstatic for having signed for the Mancunian giants.
Speaking to ManUtd.com, he said: “I’m made up. Obviously, it’s what I’ve been working for since the Under-8s and Under-9s. I’m proud for myself and for my family but I think it’s only the start. My mum, dad, grandad and auntie have all come along and it’s just a proud moment.”

He was also nominated for the Young Player of the Year award, and is not too far away from breaking into the first team. Garner also believes that this contract capped off a perfect season for him personally.
“Winning the league, having a good season and being nominated for the Young Player of the Year and now this just caps it off as a perfect season for me,” he added.
He also pledged that he will come back next season even stronger and more determined, ready to make an impact for the club.
“I’m off for a break but will work hard in the close season. When I come back for pre-season, hopefully, I’ll hit the ground running and be ready for next season,” claimed the young talent.
United have also given professional contracts to youngsters like Ethan Galbraith, Tom Sang, Brandon Williams, Dylan Levitt, and Largie Ramazani, and they now possess one of the most exciting academies in the country.
