What Fans Are Saying About Pogba’s Performance Against Argentina
Manchester United fans had plenty of reasons to smile on Saturday, as France were able to beat Argentina 4-3 to secure a place in the quarter-finals, where they will face either Portugal or Uruguay.
An early penalty was given away by Rojo, who despite having secured Argentina this game, was the reason behind the South Americans going a goal down when Griezmann coolly netted the spot-kick.
Hope seemed to be on the horizon going into the second half when Di Maria made in 1-1. This was followed by a lucky deflection by Mercado to make it 2-1.
Argentina seemed to be in control for a while, but then Kylian Mbappe struck twice and Aguero’s injury-time goal proved futile in saving Messi’s hopes for a World Cup.

But the reason United fans were ecstatic during the game was due to the manner in which Paul Pogba functioned. His style was remarkable and his contribution was of immense importance in France going through.
Needless to say, supporters took to Twitter to sing the 25-year-old’s praises.

Manchester United will now be hoping that the same kind of Pogba will be playing for them when they return to club football next season. This kind of influence is precisely what the Mancunian giants have been missing.
Much doubt was raised over his performance last season, but the weeks in Russia have gone on to prove the point that Pogba can be an utter gem of a player if adequate personnel is deployed around him. Is Mourinho taking notes?
