Former Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj could see himself make a stunning return to the Premier League. And no, he isn’t lined up for United, but rather 2015-16 champions Leicester City.

As per a report in Leicester Mercury, the English side wants the youngster to come in and add depth in their attack. Leicester lost their talisman Riyad Mahrez, who joined Manchester City for a whopping £60 million.

The Foxes also got around £25 million for midfielder Ahmed Musa, and have the money now to get some crucial signings done.

For Januzaj, United still have the option to buy him back. The player has a €60 million release clause, but Jose Mourinho’s side can get him for €40 million instead.

But this move isn’t likely to happen, which leaves an opportunity for Leicester to come in and do business for the forward who played 35 matches for Real Sociedad in the 2017-18 season, and scored 4 goals.

The 23-year-old also showed his skills in the FIFA World Cup 2018 against England, where he smashed home a stunning left-footed goal. The Foxes believe that they could develop him further and utilise his impact.

It never went well for the player at Old Trafford after a stunning debut campaign in 2013-14, under the management of David Moyes.

The two subsequent seasons saw him limited to just 28 appearances. He was shipped out on loan at Sunderland and Borussia Dortmund, but those moves did not work as planned.

Finally, the versatile youngster was sold to Spanish side Sociedad, where he has been impressive enough to attract the eyes of the former English champions.
