What Man United Fans Are Saying About Fred Following His Return To The Starting Lineup
Manchester United kicked into high gear this past weekend, as they emerged 2-1 victors over a gritty Everton side. The Red Devils were impressive through much of the game, and their fans appreciated the effort put in by the players on their home ground.
One such player who especially drew praise from the fans was Fred. The Brazilian returned to the starting XI after being continually overlooked by manager Jose Mourinho in previous matches.
Fans were bemused over the exclusion of the midfielder from the team, and he more than made up for his absence with a splendid midfield display alongside Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic.
Supporters took to social media to express their feelings over Fred’s performance, and the general consensus was that he did very well throughout the game.

Overall, a decent performance from #MUFC against a very average Everton. More positives than negatives today, which has been a rarity this term. I hope Mourinho sticks with Fred to start and allows Pogba to boss this formation. Romelu’s gonna have to sit on the bench for a while.

Several media sources have also praised the Brazilian’s work, and have backed the player at a time when Mourinho is looking for stability in the center of the field.
Anthony Martial was the fans’ player of the match, but there is no doubt that Fred did pull the strings behind him, allowing the likes of Paul Pogba to get forward at will and create chances like the one that led to the second goal.

Fred’s forward-thinking approach is a welcome change in the United setup, and one that adds some much-needed flair, which is reminiscent of the likes of his compatriot Anderson from yesteryear.
Even Mourinho himself is likely to be impressed with what Fred brought to the middle of the park, so don’t be surprised if you see more of the talented South American in the games to come.
Manchester United have some important matches lined up, and Fred would be more than happy to contribute in the biggest way possible.
