Fans React To James Maddison’s Goal Against Tottenham
Leicester City continued their impressive form despite the setback against Manchester United last week by securing a 2-1 victory against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
The Foxes took home all three points courtesy of goals from Ricardo Pereira and James Maddison, putting Harry Kane’s first-half goal in vain.
The game was also a controversial one due to the involvement of the VAR which discounted goals from both sides as Ndidi’s early strike was deemed to be from an offside position while Aurier’s goal was too close a call and yet disallowed.
Maddison’s goal, however, arriving in the 85th minute, was an exciting one. The successful shot ensured that Leicester were able to win the game and clinch the third-place spot on the Premier League table for the time being.
The English midfielder has been linked to Manchester United for a while now and performances like these are precisely why he seems to have captured the imagination of the Red Devils.
In fact, while the Foxes celebrated the goal quite well, it was fans of United who took to Twitter to heap praises upon the 22-year-old for his beautiful strike.

Maddison has also been linked heavily to Liverpool as well and many fans of the Merseyside Reds were also seen tweeting about his goal.
United have appeared to lack creative intent in their attacking midfield for quite a while now. In fact, it has often seemed that the absence of an able attacking midfielder has been the precise missing link that has kept Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s tactics from flourishing with the Old Trafford outfit.
It is evident that the Foxes will be holding on dearly to the midfielder and it is bound to take another Harry Maguire-esque transfer fee to tempt them to part ways with a player of his caliber in the upcoming transfer windows.
