Luis Nani Joins Spanish Side Valencia

Fenerbahce and former Red Devils winger Luis Nani has completed his transfer to La Liga, confirms Fenerbahce president.

Luis Nani, the Portuguese winger who is currently representing his national side the Euro 2016, has opted for a move to Spain, Fenerbahce president Aziz Yildirim has confirmed.

“Nani will play for Valencia next season,” Aziz Yildirim told AMK Sport (via Marca).

Aziz also went on to say that Luis Nani will complete the transfer between now and the last day of June – as after this, Nani’s buyout clause will rise to over €8 million.

Luis Nani has been showing off his class in Turkey, netting 12 goals and assisting 13 in his 47 appearances this season, and attracting a lot of interest from all around Europe in the process.

The Portuguese’s agent, Fanatik, spurred up transfer rumors when he mentioned: “Nani will be leaving Fenerbahce over the summer.”

It was also believed that the Portuguese winger was possibly poised for a return to his former club Manchester United. This is due to their new boss, Jose Mourinho – who Nani claimed to be the “Best in the world,” as reported by Goal.

Luis Nani’s full statement on Jose Mourinho was: “He has done well in England in the past. We know he can always produce something at every team he goes to and we hope he will help Manchester United to win titles again.”

But, this move has failed to materialize and Jose Mourinho has instead been looking to complete the signing of Zlatan and Mkhitaryan.

And instead of returning to Manchester, the 29-year-old winger will be looking forward to playing in the same league as the best players in the world – Lionel Messi, and his Portugal team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo.
