PSG Targeting Manchester United Forward Anthony Martial
Manchester United’s Anthony Martial is being targeted by French giants Paris Saint-Germain, according to The Sun.
The reigning French champions were looking to sign Anthony Martial even before the young forward moved to Manchester United. And now, it is understood that PSG are back for this 20-year-old talent, as he has struggled to fit into Jose Mourinho’s team.
As per the report, PSG are keeping a close eye on Martial’s situation. The youngster was left out of the first team by Mourinho for consecutive weeks. Adding to this, Martial was also dropped from the French national squad due to his poor form for the Red Devils.
A United source said: “It is well known PSG are very keen if the club does consider selling. He has been dropped recently against Feyenoord and West Ham and has generally struggled for form.”

Martial was bought by former United boss Louis van Gaal from AS Monaco for £36 million in 2015, and the striker made a phenomenal impact at the Old Trafford club in his first season itself. However, under Jose Mourinho, he hasn’t managed to live up to the expectations.
Mourinho recently talked about Martial’s comparatively poor form, by stating: “The way the team played last season – and I’m not saying better or worse, just different – was probably more adapted to Anthony.”
