At the start of the season, Juan Mata’s future at United was uncertain under Jose Mourinho. But the 28-year-old fought well to get into the team as a permanent starter.
He has earned his reputation as one of United’s best players so far this season. However, at Chelsea, the Spain international was indeed sold by Mourinho to United, despite winning the club’s Player of the Season award twice.
As soon as Manchester United announced Jose Mourinho as their new manager, rumours and expectations of Juan Mata leaving the club began. Fenerbahce monitored the situation and tried to sign him on loan, but thanks to a good start to the season, Mata has adapted really well to Mourinho’s team.

Mata has established himself as one of the vital player for United this season. As per the statistics, Juan Mata influences the big games against the other top six opponents more than any other Premier League player. This means Fenerbahce will have to spend big if they want to lure this creative midfielder away from Old Trafford.
Juan Mata has made 97 Premier League appearances for United so far, scoring 24 goals for Red Devils.
